Description

(Coleus) Colorblaze® Lime Time™ Plectranthus has bright chartreuse green foliage that is sun tolerant. This makes Lime Time™ very versatile since it can be grown in full sun to full shade locations. Colorblaze® Lime Time™ is a great companion and complement to dark colored coleus and it will make an eye-catching statement in any landscape or container application. Colorblaze® Lime Time™ grows up to 3' high and 2' wide, so give this great plant some room to spread out! The Colorblaze® Series of Plectranthus have been bred to bloom late in the season or not at all. You may pinch off the blooms as they appear if so desired, as many gardeners grow coleus for the foliage alone. If left on the plant, the flowers will attract hummingbirds. Deer problems? Don't worry, Colorblaze® Lime Time™ is also deer resistant!

So far so good. I have had mine in the ground for about a month. I live in So. FL Zone 10b. Palm tree fronds only give intermittent shade, so I sourced these from Garden Crossings because these were advertised as tolerating full sun. I have lime and purple intermixed. The lime is growing a bit faster than the purple, but both are doing ok with just one 4am watering per day. As expected, the lime are turning yellowish in the level 9 UV sun down here. But, as long as they don’t burn up, I will remain a happy planter.

I am over the moon about this coleus, which I planted for the first time this year. I have the plant in deep shade and it is growing like crazy. But it's the COLOR I love. That gorgeous bright lime is such a standout in with my other shade plants. I will buy this one again!
