A true collector, and the first of its kind, Gold Nugget™ is a Golden color with red picotee edges during the cooler months of January through May. In the summer, Gold Nugget™ is bright green in color. Standing 2 inches tall each rosette can reach up to 5 inches across, Gold Nugget™ is a great addition for rock gardens, wall plantings, borders, ground covers as well as for patio planters. Chick Charms® are a drought tolerant perennial that is hardy in zones 4-9 and grows well in full sun to light shade. Gold Nugget™ consists of one large rosette (the “hen”) and many smaller rosettes (the “chicks”) which can be pulled up and replanted elsewhere to start new plants. If gardening really isn’t your thing, Chick Charms® Gold Nugget™ can be! Collect several of our chicks and create a table top planter, perfect for patios, desks or in a bright location in your home. Succulents are perfect for the gardening expert as well as for the beginner gardener. Start collecting Hen and Chick, Chick Charms®, now for years of enjoyment! When you receive your Chick Charms® Gold Nugget™ it will appear green in color. This is due to being grown in the shade and under the plastic in the greenhouse. Once your plant is planted out in the full sun you will notice the various color stages that it goes through with each season.

Color may appear different depending on the season they ship. Cooler weather generally brings out vibrant colors.

  1. Alex M

This is the most stunning chick and hen I have ever seen. My stepdaughter got this in early summer and blew us away at how it looks now. I had to grab a few babies to winter over just in case. For the people who think this is photoshopped, I can assure you IT IS NOT. As for those people who were disappointed because they were green, get it outside and 3 months later you will be blown away

  2. ESTHER R

Gorgeous Ordered More To mix in with Others. Love this One!!! Looks Beautiful Mixed In with Others. So Striking. It’s a 10 In my Book !!!

  3. Sheila B

I love these type of plants, i had one and it grew so beautiful had to give it away cause I had to move.

  4. FLplanter

I was expecting them to look like the pictures but they don’t. Mine are pale green with a slight tinge of pale yellow around the bottom leaves. Makes me wonder if these pictures are Photoshopped.

    • Heidi Grasman

The color of these plants is temperature dependant. They show the most vibrant color in cooler weather spring/fall. In the summer they do look green.

  5. Josie

The most vivid, beautiful colors. Everyone is so jealous about my succulent

  6. Melissa

This is the most gorgeous Semp I’ve seen! The colors grab my attention every time. But I had to give it only 4 stars b/c it seems a little finicky. That being said, it could be the caregiver and the fact that I tried growing it inside with succulents instead of outside in the sun where it should be.
