Description
(Indian Pink) A beautiful, unique addition to our perennial offerings is Spigelia 'Ragin Cajun'. The tubular orangeish-red flowers bloom nearly all summer long. Standing 24 inches tall and wide, 'Ragin Cajun' forms a nice mounding habit and is very floriferous. This native perennial can be found in woodlands out east. Hardy in zones 5b- 9, 'Ragin Cajun' likes to be grown in full sun to full shade locations with average to fertile soil. Make sure your area has good drainage. Enjoy the hummingbirds when they visit your Spigela from late spring through late summer. Plant in mass or as a specimen for a unique, easy-to-grow perennial in your collection. Consider using it as a thriller in mixed container planters. This easy-to-grown native can be enjoyed out in your garden or as a cut flower for the home.
