Description
(Stokes Aster) One of the longest-blooming mid to late-summer perennials is the Stokes Aster. TOTALLY STOKED™ 'RIPTIDE' features extra large 3-inch wide bright lavender blooms that bloom from mid-summer until frost. Standing 26 inches tall and spreading to 36 inches wide, TOTALLY STOKED™ 'RIPTIDE' forms a mounding sprawling type habit. This native perennial is often grown in the south due to its excellent heat tolerance but also is a great long-blooming northern option. Hardy in zone 5-9, we recommend planting in a full sun location for the most show of color. Stokesia are adaptable to most soil conditions including poor, dry soil conditions to fertile ground, once established. This native perennial variety is deer and rabbit resistant. Use as a border, specimen, or in containers, this easy-to-grow perennial will give you weeks if not months of color. Stokesia TOTALLY STOKED™ 'RIPTIDE' is part of the Proven Winners® Perennial collection.
