Baby Kim® Lilac (Syringa)
- Deep Purple Buds,
- Blooms Lavender,
- Dwarf Compact Habit
Description
(Lilac) Now, a Lilac for every size garden! Syringa Baby Kim™ offers the nostalgic lilac scent you may remember from your grandma's garden in a compact habit. Standing 24-36 inches tall and spreading up to 36 inches wide, Lilac Baby Kim™ forms a nice mounded habit. The shiny, dark green foliage is a perfect colored background for the large clusters of fragrant, lavender purple blooms (that don’t fade to white) that appear in the spring. Planted in a full sun location that is well-drained will make a perfect home for Baby Kim™ Lilac. Hardy in zones 3-8, Lilacs make a great border, specimen or mass planting. With the compact size of Baby Kim™, it is a perfect sized selection for container gardens as well. Baby Kim™ blooms off of the previous season's growth, so we recommend only trimming right after it is done flowering if you feel it is needed. Baby Kim™ is a deer-resistant shrub whose blooms are excellent for cutting and bringing into your home. Baby Kim™ Syringa is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.
