Description

(Lilac) One of the heaviest bloomers in our collection, Scentara Pura®! If you are looking for lilacs that are larger than our compact BLOOMERANG® Lilac look to add Scentara Pura® to your landscape. This semi compact Lilac stands 4-6 feet tall and wide. Scentara Pura® has the look of old-fashioned Lilacs but in a bit smaller form. What sets this lilac apart is that it has excellent mildew resistance and is hardy in zones 2-8. Scentara Pura® features excellent branching which offers more blooms. The thick dark green foliage is a wonderful backdrop to the large clusters of blooms. It features huge flower heads made up of double lavender florets. The fragrance is like none other. Hardy down to zone 2, Scentara Pura® likes to be grown in full sun locations with good drainage. Lilacs can tolerate clay conditions. Enjoy the sweet scent of lilacs by trimming a few branches for a beautiful vase filled bouquet to be enjoyed indoors. Lilacs are a long lived, deer resistant shrub that makes a great border, hedge, or foundation plant. Perfect for a cutting garden as well. It blooms off of old growth, so if pruning is needed we recommend doing so after the plant is done blooming. Lilac Scentara Pura® is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.
