The WEDDING PARTY® series of Helleborus feature large, fully double 3-inch blooms. ‘Black Tie Affair’ has petals with near-black edges that in the right light show off shades of burgundy, with a light grayish-white center. The WEDDING PARTY® series is known for its showy flowers and large numbers of blooms per plant. With blooms starting in late winter, WEDDING PARTY® ‘Black Tie Affair’ is known to bloom for up to 6 weeks, and after that the spent blooms are equally as beautiful for weeks longer. Grown in part shade to full shade is where Helleborus are most at home. They prefer damp to moist soil conditions, great for woodland gardens. The dark green foliage is semi-evergreen.
