Asclepias - Milkweed

Simply a must for your butterfly garden! Called Asclepias, Butterfly Weed or Milkweed, this perennial is a host plant for a number of butterflies including the monarch. Colors include pink, yellow and orange flower clusters, while heights range from 2 to 5 feet depending on the variety. Plant in full sun and you will start to see blooms early summer. The beauty lingers into fall when the seedpods pop open, revealing seeds with long white-silvery hairs. Great in floral arrangements.
