Mexican Petunia is not a petunia at all, but its flowers look like one. It is native to Mexico and although hardy in zones 9-12, it is treated as an annual. Mexican Petunia loves the heat and is a vigorous grower with beautiful lavender purple blooms that appear continuously all season long. It thrives in moist, well-drained soil in part to full sun. Established plants have good drought tolerance and they handle high heat and humidity well. Enjoy Mexican Petunia in containers or in the landscape.
