Tradescantia - Wandering Jew

Wandering Jew or Inchplant is considered an annual within the Tradescantia family. Tradescantia is a genus consisting of approximately 75 species known as spiderwort. They include both annual and perennial varieties. The annual Tradescantia is most popularly used as a houseplant, but is also a wonderful addition to the landscape and container gardens. The plants have trailing, fleshy stems that are covered in large, usually variegated leaves. Wandering Jew is an easy to grow plant thriving best in part-shade and moist soil.
