Allium - Ornamental Onion

The ball-shaped lavender flowers of the allium plant are a must for any garden. The fragrant blooms, up to 2 inches in diameter, arrive mid summer and last several weeks, growing up to 24 inches tall and wide. Allium require part shade to full sun and low maintenance. This pop of purple color attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees, while deterring the rabbits and deer.
