Brunnera - Heartleaf Brunnera

Beautifully veined with heart-shaped leaves, Brunnera will grace the shade garden with shimmery color of gray, silver and white. Sometimes called Siberian bugloss or false forget-me-not, Brunnera blooms in the spring with sprays of delicate baby-blue to periwinkle flowers reminiscent of forget-me-nots. Brunnera needs soil that is well-drained and consistently moist to thrive as well as protection from afternoon sun. A perfect choice for your shade or woodland garden, Brunnera is not bothered by deer or slugs, so makes a nice alternative to hosta.
