Primrose

If you are looking for early spring color for your part to full shade garden, Primrose is your plant. Hardy and easy to grow, Primrose forms low-growing, dense clumps of deeply puckered leaves and its blooms are double or single depending on variety. Ideal for use in garden beds and borders as well as in containers or for naturalizing as they will multiply each year. They do prefer damp, well-drained soil conditions and will benefit from a layer of mulch to retain moisture and keep roots cool.
