Welcome butterflies to your garden! Solidago, or commonly called goldenrod, blooms late summer into fall incorporating golden yellow hues into your landscape. Plant in full sun to part shade, and provide moist well drained soil for your goldenrod. It has gotten a bad reputation as a cause of allergies because it blooms at the same time as ragweed. It’s ragweed and not goldenrod that aggravates hay fever!
