Toad Lily

Don’t let the name fool you, this perennial just may be your Prince Charming. Bringing late summer beauty to the shade garden, Toad Lily or Tricyrtis, will charm you with its lovely, speckled, orchid-like flowers. Preferring soil rich in organic matter that is consistently moist, but not soggy and part to full shade, Toad Lily is a great addition to woodland areas, borders, along streams and naturalized sites. They make suitable companions for hosta, ferns and brunnera among other shade loving plants.
