Pulmonaria - Lungwort

Pulmonaria or ‘Lungwort’ is an old-fashioned, clump-forming, spreading perennial great for use in the shade garden as a ground cover, the front of the border, and as a companion to spring bulbs. It grows well with other shade plants such as hosta, heuchera and ferns. The blue & pink spring blooms of Pulmonaria grow in clusters above silvery spotted, hairy leaves that bring a brightness to the shade garden. ‘Lungwort’ grows best in light to medium shade in moist, well-drained, rich soil.
