Abelia

Abelia tend to be one of the most underused variety of flowering shrubs. This should not be because they have all the desirable features most gardeners are looking for in a shrub: colorful, glossy foliage that can be semi-evergreen; long-blooming, fragrant flowers opening in large clusters in early summer and continuing through fall, and resisting deer, but attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. There are many varieties of Abelia and Garden Crossings carries some of the best and hardiest choices. Growing anywhere from 2-6 feet high and 3-6 feet wide, there is a size for every garden. Just be sure to choose the best variety for your hardiness zone and provide moist, well-drained soil in a full sun to part shade location.
