Azalea - Rhododendron
A favored spring-blooming shrub, Azalea is prized for it’s numerous, brightly colored flowers and its wonderful foliage that is evergreen to semi-evergreen depending on the variety. There is even a re-blooming form of Azalea available in many colors! Easy to care for, Azaleas only requirements are moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil in a full sun to part shade location. Due to a shallow root system, it is recommended that you mulch your Azaleas to retain moisture. If pruning is desired to shape, do so soon after bloom to avoid cutting off next years flower buds.
