Cotoneaster

There are many species of Cotoneaster available from dwarf ground covers, to large size shrubs. Currently Garden Crossings carries the easy care ground cover variety. The finely textured foliage of Cotoneaster is covered in an abundance of small white flowers in spring followed by attractive red fruit. Adaptable to many conditions, Cotoneaster prefer moderately fertile, well-drained soil, and can tolerate sandy to clay soils as long as they don’t remain too wet. The uses are endless for this trouble-free plant from border edging, ground cover, lawn substitute and cascading over retaining walls.
