(Clematis) Clematis ‘Niobe’ is known for its velvety, ruby reddish-black flowers that mature to a deep wine red with age. The large 6 inch flowers are a stunning addition to the landscape and garden. Reblooming, it produces an abundance of blooms in late spring, blooming off of the previous season growth, followed by a rebloom again in early autumn. Standing 6-8 feet tall, ‘Niobe’ quite easily could be the most popular red shade clematis on the market today. ‘Niobe’ is an excellent variety for containers or cut flowers. Awarded Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
