The largest in our Hot Pepper line, ‘Ristra Cayenne Hybrid’ reaches lengths of 12 inches long. These hot peppers twist and curl and are a great choice for drying. ‘Ristras’ are easy to grow; they start off a lime green and ripen to bright red as they age. This variety is a heavy producer and is great in salsa and chili. Peppers prefer to be grown in a full sun location and need to be well watered. ‘Ristra Cayenne?s can be picked green or red, be sure to harvest as soon as the peppers are ripe to ensure a large harvest.
