The tasty, thick walled fruit can get up to 5 inches across. Peppers generally are picked when they are still green, although they take on a sweeter flavor as they age to yellow, orange or red. Picking early produces more fruit while sacrificing the best flavor. We recommend planting 2 plants, one for instant picking and one for aged picking. Watch your plant as too much fruit can damage the plant from the excess weight. Peppers prefer to be grown in full sun and are a thirsty plant from start to finish, just be sure they aren?t in standing or excess water. Peppers are most flavorful when eaten the same day they are picked, but can set on your counter for a day or so to fully ripen, do not store peppers in cool locations like your fridge, they do not store well.
