Description

Details

(Rose Mallow) Hibiscus SUMMERIFIC® 'Cranberry Crush' makes a stunning addition to any garden showing off rich, deep, scarlet-red blooms that stand out against the maple-like leaves that are glossy and deep green with a hint of purple. Near-black buds are produced up and down the stems unlike many Hibiscus that only bloom at the top. This ensures an abundance of large 7-8 inch wide flowers on SUMMERIFIC® 'Cranberry Crush' from midsummer to fall. 'Cranberry Crush' has a full, compact habit and prefers moist, well-drained soil in a sunny location to produce the largest flowers and lushest foliage. Please note that Hibiscus is one of the last perennials to appear in spring, so be patient! SUMMERIFIC® 'Cranberry Crush' is A Proven Winners® Perennial.

Breathtaking Review by Jon K | Zone: 5b
Quality
I purchased Cranberry Crush in late spring from Garden Crossings. It arrived next day and was packed beautifully. I have been anxiously watching for it to blossom and it just started blooming this week - WOW. Breathtaking is an understatement. I have never seen so many buds on a hibiscus before. Deep red and HUGE flowers this plant is in a front perennial garden and it stops traffic on my street. I will surely be adding more!! A neighbor purchased one at big box and it was marked Cranberry Crush but the flowers are pink and nowhere near the amount of buds. I will for sure be a returning customer and this is my new favorite plant and nursery. (Posted on 7/29/2011)
