(Blue Star) Late spring color that is a must, comes in the form of Amsonia ‘Storm Cloud’. Standing 24-30 inches tall, ‘Storm Cloud’ emerges with dark, almost black stems in the spring, with blade-shaped leaves that are deep green with silver veining. Amsonia ‘Storm Cloud’ has a nice v-shaped mounding habit, with light blue star shaped flowers creating a canopy of color for many weeks. When flowering is complete, ‘Storm Cloud’ leaves you with attractive foliage to carry on. Hardy in zones 4-9, ‘Storm Cloud’ prefers to be planted in full sun to part shade locations in average, moist soil. A great cut flower, this native perennial is ideal as a specimen or border plant and stunning used in mass. Amsonia ‘Storm Cloud’ is a PROVEN WINNERS® Perennial.
