(Clematis) Take your garden to new heights with the vertical color of Jackmanii Clematis. One of the most popular and easiest Clematis vines to grow, Jackmanii boosts large deep purple blooms. Reaching heights up to 12 feet tall and spreading up to 4 feet wide, this Queen of the Vines will quickly fill up your vertical garden space. Blooming from early summer and again later in the season, this full sun to part shade loving clematis is ready to find a home in your garden. Clematis like to have their roots shades so we recommend putting mulch over the roots or plant something near the base to create natural shade. Jackmanii is part of prune group 3, meaning the flowers come from the new season growth. We recommend trimming your plants back in the fall or early spring. Clematis is a great addition to trellis, arbors, climbing up electric poles, or giving your deck poles a flowery vertical look. With Clematis the question never is “which one should I grow, but how many should I grow?”
