- Great in Combos
(Sun or Shade Caladium) Great foliage color and interest are key to creating a container combination that will have the neighbors talking! Heart to Heart® ‘Xplosion’ Caladium is a Strap Leaf Caladium featuring elongated leaves with a light ruffled appearance. The beautiful Olive green to bronzy pink background and margins are just a foil for the fantastic white base netted with flashy hot pink to red veins and a large central eye that matches the veining. The elongated heart-shaped leaves form an upright mounding habit standing 15-20 inches tall and 10-14 inches wide. Heart to Heart® ‘Xplosion’ can be grown in full sun to full shade locations. Caladiums generally do not like to be colder than 50 degrees so plant accordingly to your zone. Heart to Heart® ‘Xplosion’ Caladium is a great thriller for combination planters, or mix in your annual and perennial beds for a colorful leafy addition. Once your warm-weather season is over (in the North), Caladium Heart to Heart® ‘Xplosion’ can be brought indoors to be enjoyed as a tropical houseplant. Make sure to keep it in a bright sunny location with temperatures around 65 degrees. Beautiful indoors or out, let Heart to Heart® ‘Xplosion’ Caladiums bring joy and color to your home and garden.
