(Petunia) Snowdrifts are a real thing here in Michigan, and I am happy to say that the winter drifts can now be replaced in summer with the beautiful white flowers of Supertunia Vista® Snowdrift™. If you are looking for a petunia to plant in the landscape, that will outperform any other petunia on the market, check out the Supertunia Vista® series of petunias. Supertunia Vista® Snowdrift™ features bright white blooms from spring until fall. The beauty of Proven Winners® Supertunias® is, they do not need to be deadheaded or picked to keep on blooming. Standing 12-24 inches tall and spreading up to 36” wide, Snowdrift will create a large mound of beauty in the landscape. Do not be afraid to mix it with the other members of its family, Vista® Bubblegum, Vista® Paradise, Vista® Fuschia or Vista® Silverberry for a great combination of colors. Planted in full sun to part shade locations, your Supertunia Vista® Snowdrift will do great as a border, mass planting, or hanging basket and container design. Fertilize often for best results. The Supertunia® family of petunias are self cleaning. What that means is that you do not need to pick at them to keep them looking beautiful all summer. We do recommend fertilizing your Supertunia® every 1-2 weeks with a water soluble fertilizer. This helps keep your plants well nourished providing you with loads of color. You may find that mid season your baskets and planters need a manicure. We recommend trimming your Supertunia Vista® Snowdrift back to approximately the bottom of your hanging basket or container. This will encourage more branching and freshen up your planter. Enjoy the hummingbirds and butterflies as they visit your plantings.

So excited to see that you have Supertunia Vista Snowdrift this year. I saw it while visiting a trial garden last year and knew I had to find it. So happy that Garden Crossings has all the new Proven Winner plants for 2020. The abundance of white flowers almost glow as the sun sets. The Vista series has been my favorite for many years because they fill in so much space. From combos to baskets and even in the landscape they are just beautiful. I’m excited about white, but all the colors will catch your neighbors attention.
