(Rose Mallow) Adding ‘Lilac Crush’ to the SUMMERIFIC® family of hibiscus extends the color palette available. SUMMERIFIC® ‘Lilac Crush’ features large 7-8 inch wide, lilac-pink flowers with a deep magenta eye. The lilac pink petals are generously overlapped with heavily ruffled edges. Standing 5-5.5 feet tall and spreading up to 4.5 feet wide, ‘Lilac Crush’ forms a tall upright columnar habit. The maple leaf-looking leaves are a refreshing green color. Hardy in zones 4-9, SUMMERIFIC® ‘Lilac Crush’ likes to be planted in full sun to part sun locations. Average to consistent watering is recommended. One of the later perennials to emerge in the spring. Hardy Hibiscus are quick to put on growth once they do emerge. Flowering mid to late summer, the extra-large flowers are a welcome addition to the summer landscape. This native perennial is deer resistant and makes a great specimen in the garden. Plant a border for even more color impact. For those in the North ( as well as South), enjoy the large tropical-looking blooms. SUMMERIFIC® ‘Lilac Crush’ is a PROVEN WINNERS® Perennial.
