(Petunia x Calibrachoa) SuperCal® Premium Yellow Sun Petchoa features bronzed yellow blooms that brighten up the garden. They make a great addition to your porch container, container combinations, hanging baskets, or window boxes. Additionally, they are excellent performers in the landscape. Petchoa is a hybrid of petunias and calibrachoas. While it keeps the look of traditional petunias, it is vastly improved. Two of the largest improvements are its resilience to harsh conditions such as late spring frosts, high summer heat, and heavy rain. Another improvement is its self-cleaning ability which eliminates the need to deadhead. SuperCal® Premium Yellow Sun Petchoa can reach a maximum height of 14-20 inches and a maximum width of 14-22 inches. It has an average vigor and grows in a mounding habit. Petchoas thrive in the full sun, and when they are given lots of water. Water enough to keep the soil slightly moist. We also recommend feeding your petchoa once a week with a water-soluble fertilizer. Trim your petchoa back once in the midsummer to get a second flush of blooms and prolong its bloom time.
