(Kalanchoe) Unique and delightfully interesting is Kalanchoe tomentosa. Ideal for container and houseplant use. This succulent is adorned with fuzzy, silvery-green leaves, dotted along the edges in brown. Perfect all by itself or used with other succulents in contrasting colors and textures. A slow vertical grower, tomentosa can reach 12-24 inches tall, or contained on the lesser side if planted in a smaller size container. You will want to place your plant in a sumny window, if kept inside. Hardy for zones 9 to 12. Can be put outside in northern locations during warmer months in sun to part shade. Water your Kalanchoe when soil is completely dry. The fleshy leaves store water, so minimal water is needed.
