Details

(Oriental Poppy) A warm welcome to the gardening season is when the Oriental Poppies start to bloom. Papaver 'Prince of Orange' is a stunning orange poppy with a black center, who's petals have a crape like appearance and a satin texture. 'Prince of Orange' stands 30 inches tall and can spread to 24 inches wide. Late spring/ early summer the beautiful blooms emerge. Once your poppy is finished blooming it will go dormant for the summer so be sure to plant around it so you don't have a bare spot in your garden. Oriental Poppies like to be grown in full sun locations with well drained soil. This deer and rabbit resistant perennial is hardy in zones 3-7.
