Agastache - Hyssop

Hyssop is an essential plant to have if you desire a pollinator friendly garden. Also known as Agastache or ‘hummingbird mint’, Hyssop is an aromatic perennial that is long-blooming, drought tolerant, and will attract hummingbirds, butterflies and bees to your yard. Best grown in full sun and well-drained soil, Hyssop has many varieties growing from 1-3′ tall in colors ranging from purple, orange, pink to red. Its tubular shaped blooms are born up and down the flower stem. Hyssop is so versatile. It’s leaves can be used to make a flavorful tea and is a desired cut flower as its blooms are long-lasting.
