(Clematis) Ideal for container gardens, the Boulevard® series of Clematis is compact bloomers for small spaces. Boulevard® Zara™ Evipo062 features large 5 inch, ice blue flowers with overlapping petals. Standing 5 feet tall and spreading up to 2 feet wide. This free-flowering clematis blooms from early summer through the fall. Part shade is recommended for best coloration although it can be planted in a full sun location. Clematis like to be grown in moderate soil with good drainage. Shading of the roots is recommended and can be done by applying a layer of mulch or planting companion plants near the base. Hardy in zones 4-9, Boulevard® Zara ™ Clematis is a perfect addition to small gardens and patio planters to add some vertical color to the garden. Pruning is recommended in winter or early spring, trimming the vine back to 6 inches. Clematis color can vary based on bloom time, the amount of light they are receiving as well as humidity factors.
