(Clustered Bellflower) Campanula ‘Bells and Whistles’ is a great addition to your garden. Commonly known as clustered bellflower, it features clusters of stark purple flowers and dense, green foliage. Its flowers appear in late spring and last throughout the summer. A taller variety of Campanula, it can reach a max height of 24-28 inches, and spread to a maximum width of 22-26 inches. ‘Bells and Whistles’ grows best in full sun to part shade locations. If you live in a southern zone where summers get very hot, it is best to plant in a more shaded location. It requires moist, well-drained soil and average watering. It is also recommended to cut the plant back after it flowers for the season. This will help keep the plant healthy for next year. Hardy in zones 3-8, this perennial is perfect as a border plant, in containers, or as a cut flower. ‘Bells and Whistles’ is deer resistant and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Campanula ‘Bells and Whistles’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
