(Clematis) Not all Clematis are alike. Clematis BIJOU™ for example is a great dwarf clematis, which is very free flowering and packs a big punch for such a compact plant. Standing just over 1 foot tall, Clematis BIJOU™ is a great option as a mounding ground cover. The 3-4 inch violet/mauve pointed petals bloom from June through early August and keep their shape well. BIJOU™ not only makes for a great ground cover, but is also a beautiful specimen for a container creation.

Flower color may vary due to environment.

    Fantastic!
This clematis is fantastic! It blooms constantly. I have two of these in full sun. I’ve even had to trim it to keep the mounding look.

    Mini Knock Out
I received one as a gift this year in full bloom. It is truly a mini knock-out! In full-shade it bloomed forever. The blooms are gone for the season, but it still looks pretty. I will bring it inside for the winter. Clematis lovers must get one.

  3. Michael | Zone: 7a

    So Many Blooms
No blooms the first year, but second year there were so many we lost count. It even survived one of the hardest winters Oklahoma has seen in over 100 years.

    So Beautiful
I purchased this mini clematis a couple of years ago, and it is just so beautiful. I originally planted it in a very large and deep pottery pot. I purchased an antique, wrought iron scrolled chair, took out the seat and placed my potted Bijou Clematis in the seat frame. It had a front and center place in my garden until Hurricane Irene came along, Aug. 2011. A large oak tree fell over, hit the edge of our garage roof, and bent the chair and broke the pot. I have transplanted Bijou in front of my red Rebecca clematis this year. Both are full of blooms and I can’t wait to see them both together this year. I will have a touch of the Red Hat Society blooming at my trellis… deep red and the beautiful purple of this Bijou!
