(Daylily) When I look at RAINBOW RHYTHM® ‘Lake of Fire’ Daylily I feel like it is looking back at me. The large orangish red-eye almost fills the whole flower with color with a complementing red border. The base color of ‘Lake of Fire’ is a peachy orange with a substantial red eye and yellow throat, complimented by a red picotee edge with a thin yellow margin. If you are looking for a large flower, 7 inches is what RAINBOW RHYTHM® ‘Lake of Fire’ Daylily brings to the garden. Standing up to 24 inches tall and wide, hardy in zones 3-9, daylilies are one of the easiest to grow perennials available. Planted in full sun to part sun locations, RAINBOW RHYTHM® ‘Lake of Fire’ easily tolerates drought conditions and is salt tolerant. Plant in mass, as a border or as a showy specimen, RAINBOW RHYTHM® ‘Lake of Fire’ attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and pollinators to the garden. Don’t worry about the rabbits, they tend to leave your daylilies alone. Daylilies can survive in areas where other plants may struggle, such as under black walnut trees (not affected by juglone), slopes, dry areas, and in areas where winter salt settles. RAINBOW RHYTHM® ‘Lake of Fire’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
