(Beautybush) A favorite shrub for many landscapers is the Beautybush, now available in a more compact and refined habit. Kolkwitzia JOLENE JOLENE™ offers beautiful, small tubular pink flowers with a bright yellow center, in the spring. The bright green foliage has flowers at every node that line this plant from ‘tip to toe’ with a flurry of spring blooms. Compact in size, JOLENE JOLENE™ beautybush stands 3- 6 feet tall and spreads 4-6 feet wide, about half the size of older varieties. Beautybush is an easy-to-grow flowering shrub that is adaptable in almost any location once established. Flowers emerge from the previous season’s growth, any trimming should be done after the spring flower cycle. Grown in full sun to part shade, JOLENE JOLENE™ beautybush is hardy in zones 4-8. This deer-resistant shrub is perfect for foundations, flowering hedges and is a great plant for the garden. Kolkwitzia JOLENE JOLENE™ is a Proven Winners® Flowering Shrub.

  1. John L

The Kolkwitzia arrived speedily and in very good condition. It was very dry here in southeast Michigan when the plant arrived, so I held off planting it for a bit, but it is now in the ground and is really looking healthy and putting out new shoots all over the place. As of now, I am very happy with the plant and with Garden Crossings care in packaging and shipping.
