(Texas Primrose) Add a splash of sunshine to your garden with Calylophus LADYBIRD™ Lemonade. This extremely heat tolerant plant features lemon yellow blooms with peach-pink tones as the flowers age. The fine needle-like foliage adds a nice texture to the plant. It stands 4-8 inches tall and can spread to 20 inches wide creating a mounding/trailing habit. Planted in full sun, this Southwest native is heat and drought-tolerant making it a great selection for the South as well as the North. We recommend planting in areas with good drainage and watering regularly as needed. Although LADYBIRD™ Lemonade is an annual in most of the country, those living in zones 8-10 may find that it overwinters. Plant in mass, as an edging, or in a rock garden. LADYBIRD™ Lemonade does not require a lot of fertilizer. If need be, you can trim your plant back by a third to encourage more growth and branching. LADYBIRD™ Lemonade attracts butterflies, bees, and birds to the garden, and for those of you with deer, this is a deer-resistant annual!
