(WESTCOUNTRY™ Lupines) Lupines have always been a great native perennial that fly off our shelves. I can’t wait to see what customers think of the new color scheme of the WESTCOUNTRY™ Series! WESTCOUNTRY™ ‘Polar Princess’ presents a mass of sturdy upright flower spikes, reaching 24-36 inches tall. These sturdy blooms are a unique pure white color. The bright green daisy-looking foliage creates a mounding habit. These are not your traditional Lupine, as you will be amazed by the color spikes. Planted in full sun to part shade locations, Lupinus WESTCOUNTRY™ ‘Polar Princess’ blooms from late May to early June. Lupine prefers to be grown in well-drained and slightly acidic soil. Enjoy the flutter of butterflies and hummingbirds as they check out your ‘Polar Princess’ Lupines. We recommend deadheading your Lupine for extended bloom time. Lupines make a great cut flower and are deer-resistant.

Just planted late this spring but it has dark green foliage and is growing. Lupines take time to bloom and are finicky about being transplanted. But this one is doing well.
