(Hot Pepper) If you like your peppers hot and spicy, but not so hot you burn your mouth, you may enjoy the flavor of Fire Away™ Hot and Heavy Pepper. The bright red fruit generally takes 65 to 72 days to mature once transplanted. Fire Away™ Hot and Heavy Pepper prefer to be planted in full sun locations that are well watered. Standing 16-24” tall and spreading up to 18 inches wide, Fire Away™ Hot and Heavy Pepper form an upright habit and may benefit from being staked to keep the fruit off the ground and easy to pick. Like cucumbers and summer squash, Peppers are generally picked at a young age. Typically peppers are picked at the green stage but are most flavorful when mature or red. Peppers taste best when they are eaten after being freshly picked, but can set on your counter for a few days. Peppers can be grown directly into the ground or in a planter at least 14-18 inches around. ( a 5-7 gallon container)
