SHADOWLAND® ‘Echo the Sun’ Hosta
- Thick Substance,
- Rippled Leaves,
- Bright Coloration
(Hosta) Enjoy your shade gardens just a little more by adding a mix of colors and textures that hostas can bring to the garden. Hosta SHADOWLAND® ‘Echo the Sun’ features bright yellow foliage with heavily rippled edges. Standing 19 inches tall and spreading 18-27 inches wide, ‘Echo the Sun’ has a similar habit to ‘Diamond Lake’ and would make a great companion plant. Mid-summer 42 inch flower scapes appear with lavender bell-shaped blooms. Enjoy the hummingbirds as they visit your flowers. SHADOWLAND® ‘Echo the Sun’ likes to be grown in full shade to part shade locations. You may find that part shade brings out the brightest coloration. Hostas are easy to grow in fertile to average soil conditions and are welcomed additions to woodland gardens. Hostas bring color and texture to dark garden areas, don’t be afraid to mix up several varieties to create an eclectic collection. These easy-to-grow classics are grown for their attractive foliage and can be used as a specimen or to create a beautiful garden border. At the end of summer/fall, we recommend removing all the spent foliage once the plants have gone dormant. This helps to remove the eggs of slugs and other leaf-eating insects. Hosta SHADOWLAND® ‘Echo the Sun’ is a PROVEN WINNERS® Perennial.
