Tomato 'Better Boy' is a must have variety for many gardeners. It's easy to see why considering that 'Better Boy' produces an abundance of juicy, very flavorful, large tomatoes on vines that have excellent disease resistance. Tomato 'Better Boy' is a heavy producer, from midsummer until fall, of 16 ounce tomatoes that are firm, dense, and meaty. 'Better Boy' is an indeterminate variety, meaning it will continue to bloom, set new fruit, and ripen fruit continually throughout the season. Tomatoes prefer to be planted in a full sun location receiving an adequate amount of hydration. Tomatoes can be planted in gardens or container planters. We recommend staking or caging to keep your plants and tomatoes looking their best. Tomatoes can be harvested once they start to turn color, they will continue to ripen even after they are picked. The longer they can stay on the vine, the tastier they will be. This variety is great for slicing, grilling, stewed and can also be canned, frozen, or dried. Fun Fact: 'Better Boy' holds a Guinness World record for most tomatoes produced on one plant!
