(Peony-Intersectional ) Paeonia 'Scarlet Heaven' is a great new cross of the herbaceous garden peony with the woody tree types. 'Scarlet Heaven', when mature, is amazing! The 6-8" blooms are a deep red with darker wine edges. The sweet fragrance is breathtaking, a butterfly's dream come true. The strong stems, graced with healthy green foliage similar to that of a tree peony, nicely hold the large blooms upward. No staking is required with 'Scarlet Heaven' making this a great choice not only for your gardens but also for landscape design. The Intersectional/Itoh peony 'Scarlet Heaven' has an increased bloom time due to the new side shoots putting on later blooms. With increased vigor and excellent winter hardiness down to zone 4, 'Scarlet Heaven' is a great addition to both northern and southern gardens. Great as a cut flower! - More Info
