(Hen & Chicks) The first of its kind, a Gold Hen and Chick! And it has joined our flock. It is time to start your flock with Chick Charms® Gold Nugget™ Hen and Chicks. A true collector, and the first of its kind, Gold Nugget™ is a Golden color with red picotee edges during the cooler months of January through May. In the summer, Gold Nugget™ is bright green in color. Standing 2 inches tall each rosette can reach up to 5 inches across, Gold Nugget™ is a great addition for rock gardens, wall plantings, borders, ground covers as well as for patio planters. Chick Charms® are a drought tolerant perennial that is hardy in zones 3-9 and grows well in full sun to light shade. Gold Nugget™ consists of one large rosette (the "hen") and many smaller rosettes (the "chicks") which can be pulled up and replanted elsewhere to start new plants. If gardening really isn't your thing, Chick Charms® Gold Nugget™ can be! Collect several of our chicks and create a table top planter, perfect for patios, desks or in a bright location in your home. Succulents are perfect for the gardening expert as well as for the beginner gardener. Start collecting Hen and Chick, Chick Charms®, now for years of enjoyment! When you receive your Chick Charms® Gold Nugget™ it will appear green in color. This is due to being grown in the shade and under the plastic in the greenhouse. Once your plant is planted out in the full sun you will notice the various color stages that it goes through with each season.
