(Thrift) Add a sea of whimsy to the garden with Armeria ‘Bloodstone’. The bright pink balls dance above the grassy evergreen foliage in late spring- early summer. Standing 8-10 inches tall and spreading to a 12-18 inch mound, Armeria is salt tolerant and can often be found near the salty coastlines in the south, or as a border plant near sidewalks and driveways where snow salt would land in the north. Planted in full sun to part shade locations, Armeria is a native plant that attracts pollinating bees to the garden. Easy to grow and drought tolerant, this compact perennial is a great selection for mass planting, container gardens, and rock gardens just to name a few.
