(Clematis) Beauty is blooming with Boulevard® Bernadine™ Clematis. The large silvery light lavender blue blooms of this clematis produce a mass of color for compact gardens and landscapes. The lavender blue petals contrast nicely with the magenta stamens giving this clematis a nice look. Bernadine™ is a great rebloomer, blooming in the early summer and then again in August putting on a long season of color. Standing 6 feet tall, Bernadine™ looks great planted around patios, on a trellis, or an arbor. Planted in full sun to part shade is where this clematis is most at home. Boulevard® Bernadine™ Clematis is a part of clematis prune group 3 which means it blooms on the new season’s growth. Cut this clematis back to about 3 feet above the ground in the late winter (February or March) for best results. Mix your Clematis vines for a mixture of colors. Clematis are a great source of vertical color in your garden or landscape!
