(Scotch Broom) Fire red early season color is what SISTER REDHEAD® Scotch Broom brings to the garden or landscape. SISTER REDHEAD® is a prolific bloomer in the spring featuring deep red flowers with a fine yellow throat on the weeping, wispy stems of green. Standing 3-4 foot tall and wide, SISTER REDHEAD® creates a taller upright mounding habit with foliage that weeps over. When the flowers fade, an airy bright green shrubs remains creating interest in the landscape. Great in containers as well as in the landscape, SISTER REDHEAD® scotch broom grows best in full sun with well drained sandy soil. Hardy in zones 5-8, SISTER REDHEAD® is a deer resistant flowering shrub. SISTER REDHEAD® blooms on old growth and it is recommended to trim as needed after flowering. Cytisus SISTER REDHEAD® is a PROVEN WINNERS® COLORCHOICE® Flowering Shrub.
