(Coneflower) DOUBLE CODED® ‘Butter Pecan’ Echinacea is a welcome addition to the Proven Winners® Coneflower family. The fully double butter-yellow flowers have horizontal ray petals creating a larger-looking 4-inch flower. DOUBLE CODED® ‘Butter Pecan’ features a sturdy upright habit standing 18-20 inches tall and spreading up to 18 inches wide. This prolific bloomer starts to show color mid-summer and could bloom through the end of the summer. Hardy in zones 4-8, DOUBLE CODED® ‘Butter Pecan’ prefers full sun to part sun locations. This native perennial is drought tolerant and the fragrant flowers make for a nice cut flower. Plant as a border, in containers or mix a bunch of colors together to create a colorful mass of Coneflower color. DOUBLE CODED® ‘Butter Pecan’ Coneflower is a deer-resistant flower that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds to the garden. When the season is over, leave the dried seed heads for the winter birds. DOUBLE CODED® ‘Butter Pecan’ Echinacea is a member of the Proven Winners® Perennial Collection.

They were beautiful when i got them… i faithfully watered them every day but I think due to the heat wave we had, they struggled. I’m so trying to be patient and see if they if come around.

I love love this cone flower. I just bought 3 cloches to cover them since I have issues with rabbits. I knew this before I bought them, but still wanted to try them. They are doing well with the rabbit repellent stray and granules. I am going away for 4 days soon, so decided to get cloches to use while I am gone. It’s a lot of effort for three Butter Pecan cone flowers. They are doing great and one of them hasn’t flowers buds on it!!!!!!!
