(Barrenwort) ‘Hugs and Kisses’ Epimedium is a unique addition to your shade garden. In mid to late spring distinctly shaped, deep pink blooms appear on long thin stems. These blooms stand out against foliage that is a muted green color with a dusting of red. Commonly called Barrenwort, epimediums thrive in part shade to full shade locations in the garden. ‘Hugs and Kisses’ Epimedium is hardy in zones 5-8. It can reach a height of about 8-12 inches and is about 18-24 inches wide. It is both deer resistant and rabbit resistant, so no need to worry about these critters munching away at the plant.
