(Rose Mallow) Here’s to putting a new spin on the look of Hardy Hibiscus. SUMMERIFIC® ‘Spinderella’ features large, 8-inch blooms with shades of white and pink. The large overlapping petals resemble a pinwheel with its darker bubblegum pink on the edges and sideways fading to light pink nearing the overlap. The dark green leaves form a 4 – 4 ½ foot mound of color come mid to late summer. Planting in full sun to part sun locations, SUMMERIFIC® ‘Spinderella’ can handle just about any soil type thrown at her. Although Rose Mallow is late to emerge in the spring, once you see the first sprout it is a fast grower and will soon catch up to the rest of the flowers in your garden. This native perennial attracts hummingbirds and pollinators to the garden. Don’t worry about damage from the deer, they tend to leave this plant alone. SUMMERIFIC® ‘Spinderella’ Hibiscus is a big plant that puts on a big show in the garden, a real head-turner for sure. SUMMERIFIC® ‘Spinderella’ hibiscus is a Proven Winners® Perennial.
